    What to expect in class: I teach lighthearted Katonah Yoga classes focused on calming the nervous system, building strength, and releasing unnecessary tension.

    Training and Education: Chicago yoga Center with suddha Weixler; Ashtanga Teacher Training with Richard Freeman, Yogaview advanced teacher training; significant practice with revered teachers Sara Strother, Noah Maze, Kino McGregor, Tim Miller, Lino Miele. BA Northwestern U; MA U Chicago; PhD U of I Chicago; movement modalities have evolved over time but has included triathlons, marathons and an Ironman (Europe 1995); currently peloton, golf, long walks/hikes and most importantly, yoga.

    Passions outside of yoga: aside from dogs, who are a major obsession, I care very deeply about mental health, my own as well as in the people and communities around me. As a social worker/ therapist, I hope my instruction is infused with wisdom for both on and off the mat.

    What to expect in class: My classes always have a nurturing undercurrent and are meant to help my students become educated practitioners for the purpose of caring for your body in a sustainable, maintainable way.

    Training and Education: 300 hour YTT at Laughing Lotus, NY 2013, 200 hour YTT at Corepower, Chicago 2009. University of Iowa, Double Major in Dance and Therapeutic Recreation (working with people with disabilities), Danced professionally 2008-2015.

    What to expect in class: I teach a thoughtful class sequentially moving through the chakra system, encouraging students to embrace their inner dancer.

    What to expect in class: A Katonah Yoga practice where we'll go inwards, do some postural alignment, breathwork, and use the practice to move energy and maintain a strong and mobile body!

    Training and Education: 200-hr Vinyasa Training, 2018. 300-hr Yoga Therapeutics and Iyengar Training, 2021. Ongoing Katonah studies, 2022. (Additional 30/hr per week for a year at a PT clinic.)

    What to expect in class: Students can expect Katonah Yoga with emphasis on technique as a means to focus on longevity in the practice.

    Passions outside of yoga: Cooking, photography, and electronic music production. I’m great cook but less great at music production - have fun doing things you’re “bad” at!
